Scribby

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026 · United States

Scribby (App Store listing name: Scribby Stories) is built for families. This policy explains what information we process when you use the Scribby iOS app.

1. Who we are

Scribby is operated by the developer account listed on the App Store. Contact: privacy@scribby.app (replace with your real privacy email before release).

2. Information we process

3. How drawings are processed

To turn a drawing into a story, the image is sent securely to our story service (hosted on Google Firebase / Google Cloud in the region we configure). The service uses third-party model providers under our account to generate text, images, and speech. We do not sell drawing data. We do not use submitted drawings to build advertising profiles.

4. Children & COPPA

Scribby is directed to families and may be used with children. We do not require the child to create an account. Parents and guardians control the Apple ID, purchases, and drawings submitted. We do not knowingly use children’s drawings for targeted advertising.

5. Sharing

We share data only with processors needed to run Scribby (Apple for distribution, purchases, and iCloud sync; our cloud host; model providers for generation). We do not sell personal information.

6. Retention

Your family library remains until you delete it, delete the app, or clear related iCloud data. Server-side processing of a drawing is transient for generating a response; we do not operate a long-term public gallery of your drawings. Operational logs are retained briefly for security and debugging.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for story-service traffic. API secrets for model providers are stored server-side, not embedded in the App Store build for production.

8. Your choices

You can stop submitting drawings, cancel Scribby Plus in Apple ID settings, sign out of iCloud, or delete the app. For privacy requests, email us at the address above.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
