Terms of Use
Welcome to Scribby (“we”, “us”). Scribby helps families turn children’s drawings into lasting storybooks and a private story universe on their device.
1. Eligibility & family use
Scribby is intended for parents and guardians in the United States who create stories for children. You are responsible for supervising your child’s use of the app and for the drawings you submit.
2. The service
When you photograph or upload a drawing, Scribby’s story service may generate story text, an illustration inspired by the drawing, and optional narration. Generated content is for personal, non-commercial family entertainment. Characters and stories saved in the app are part of your family library and, when iCloud is enabled, may sync across your devices.
3. Subscriptions (Scribby Plus)
Scribby may offer auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Scribby Plus usage limits (for example, monthly story caps) are described in the app.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Scribby to create illegal, abusive, or exploitative content. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, or bypass the story service. We may suspend access for abuse or security risks.
5. Intellectual property
You retain rights to your original drawings. You grant us a limited license to process drawings solely to provide the Scribby service to you. Scribby branding, app design, and software remain ours or our licensors’.
6. Disclaimers
Stories and illustrations are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of Scribby.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
